We're off today to see the Dali exhibition and our first stop is to the new Café Vue at 401 St Kilda Rd.
We begin with some excellent latte's
as we wait for our order to arrive. You might notice some familiar faces on the floor from Vue de Monde.
Served on the same plates you see at Bistro Vue - a bargain at $4.50
Fantastic fritters, chock full of corn kernels, there's a delicate hint of spice - nice peppery hit from the watercress, lightly cooked seeded tomatoes and avocado complete the dish.
We'll definitely be returning!

Well done!!
I loved it. I had the traditional hotdog for lunch today and later took my parents there for dinner. It will be a regular stop for me from now on.
ReplyDeleteThere's Vue, and then there's everything else! 401 is welll worth the visit....Daz
ReplyDeleteWe have become addicts of Cafe Vue as well and after introducing it to our parents and friends, it's starting to become a main social meeting point. The food is extraordinarily good value (cheaper than the fare in the mess at uni)!
