Breakfast @ Cafe Vue at 401

Cafe Vue's twitter account seems to be more active these days and when they announced a new breakfast menu we decided to pop over and have a taste.

Smoked ocean trout, poached eggs, toasted brioche muffins, hollandaise, rocket

The menu reads watercress but rocket appeared on my dish - the eggs are the excellent 62º variety, served on two toasted brioche buns with smoked trout and a gorgeously coloured hollandaise.

The Vue Breakfast - toast, eggs, pigs in blankets, cassoulet beans, roasted tomatoes

You can have a choice of eggs here, Paalo naturally went for the 62º ones. The cassoulet beans have a lovely rich sauce, a step above regular baked beans. It's a good serve and well cooked.
