Not really in a mood to cook or stay at home, we've head out to revisit Les Boucheries Parisiennes.
We've having a special lighter style of degustation.
It begins with Champagne and freshly shucked oysters served simply with lemon slices and vinaigrette on the side.
Salmon on saffron poached tomato, truffle ravioli on sauteed spinach
A beautiful crisp skin tops the salmon and it sits on a sublime saffron poached tomato - even the flesh has changed, tinged by the saffron.
The truffle ravioli just bursting with truffle flavour.
Seared Duck breast on sautéed cabbage - the duck is served beautifully pink and the simple cabbage sauté is a perfect marriage.
There's always time for Cheese especially when are offered such a great selection.
Soft centered Chocolate Fondant Cake
Sometimes fondant cakes are just too runny and are closer to "raw cake batter" than cake. This one had a good level of "firm cake" surrounding the runny core, making it a much more pleasant dish to eat. The butter biscuit with coffee ice-cream is another welcome element - they help to lessen the richness of the chocolate.
