Breakfast @ Home Dining Room

It was a sad day back in early October when a fire went through Home Dining Room. After a lot of hard work and quite a bit of remodelling, Home Dining Room, reopened on the 20th January. The menu has remained true to its pre-fire form though cooked breakfast will only be available on the weekends - on weekdays, toast, muffins and the like will on offer in the mornings (Edit - cooked breakfast is now available weekdays) .

I know Paalo has been especially looking forward to the return of these

Ricotta Hotcakes with vanilla berry compote and cinnamon cream

While I went for one of their newer additions to the breakfast menu:

Corn Fritters with roast tomato, feta and nutmeg puree, bacon

Really good percentage of corn kernels in the fritter packing them with excellent sweet corn flavour. The whipped feta is a much more interesting option than the more usual sour cream - bacon and roasted tomatoes are also quite good too.
