I like the clean modern look of the polished concrete floors.
This is in the old downstairs dining room which overlooks the kitchen - once again, it's a clean look, perfect for what we're about to do - sit back and relax with some good wine and shared plates.
Really good arancini, the rice is well cooked and creamy
Going clockwise from front center -
Serrano on toasted bread; Salt & pepper calamari, bean sprout, coriander & peanut salad, lime aioli; Beef carpaccio, baby asparagus, truffle dressing; Slow roasted pork belly, parsnip puree, apple, micro cress; Cheese soufflé, apple & pear puree, sesame crostini and Tempura prawns, pickled cucumber, chilli tomato chutney
As expected we haven't been able to go past the chorizo while the scallops maintain the tradition - crisp on one side, still translucent inside, the risotto creamy, a perfect match to the sweet scallop.
This is a dish you could easily share, two lovely legs of confit duck, perfectly crisp skin while the duck meat just falls apart at the touch of a fork - the well flavoured beurre rouge is a great companion.
It may look like a small pan of potato but it's oh so indulgence - a little bit goes a long way.
A contrast to the previous dish - very restrained, light and elegant. The ravioli are, as we've come to expect, wonderfully done. Ultra thin pasta, cooked as it should.
It tastes every bit as good as at looks
A cracking topping covers a perfectly indulgence creme.
