Church Street Enoteca has just reopened after a well deserved break for Christmas, so we've scuttled over for a visit.
There's been a few changes to the menu - a new stuzzichini section has been added.
We start with 8 pieces of house prepared antipasti - the composition of the plate is decided by the kitchen but there are options for 4 or 6 piece versions.
A closer look...
front, duck prosciutto, truffled cauliflower at the back and next to it, hiramasa kingfish
going clockwise from the top rear, meat stuffed crumbled olives, beetroot, lentil and goat cheese salad, escabeche, fennel salad, salt cod fritters with tuna mayonnaise
For mains,
I have the baby snapper , it rests on white bean puree and is served with anchovy butter
Paalo has the Maccheroni with a ragu of rabbit and green olives, topped with gremolata
as a side we order
the salad of baby cos, crisp pancetta, coddled egg with truffled dressing
