To end the first day of the new food year, we head down to Sotano for a late supper
We're not after too much, a pitcher of Twisted Sangria and some lighter offerings over which we can linger.
There's one thing that you must order
the fantastic Charcuterie Board - this is the seven meat selection
and it's accompanied by this dangerously good olive bread.
A lovely refreshing and cleansing gazpacho - the various vegetables were cut into a very fine dice and the tomato wasn't acidic at all
I know, not very Spanish but a very well made Caesar Salad.
Unfortunately both of these failed in two ways - they were fairly tasteless and served tepid. As with our previous visit, it is these simple and everyday tapas offerings that really do let the place down. In a city that has places like Movida, there's really no excuse, people have grown to expect so much more.
We will however, always return for the charcuterie and cheese boards.
