We'd been thinking that we hadn't seen any cats here when one crossed our path

a rather mangy looking tom - and he sat in front of a rather appropriate looking doorway

It's only €5 to visit the Pinacoteca and the tickets gives you reduced ticket prices to visit the Duomo Museum and Burri Collection.

On the way back from the pinacoteca we ran into another mangy cat

this one was meowing so loudly in the middle of the road and I couldn't believe it when Paalo moved closer to pat it. I love cats but I certainly wouldn't get that close to this one. The cat seemed to back away just as Paalo realised he shouldn't be trying to pat it.

We did go to the Duomo Museum and after it headed for lunch.

We went to a place down our road called Trattoria Lea

There's a mural of the city in one of the dining rooms.

For starters we both had the Bruschetta miste

There was tomato concassé , braised beef, olive oil and mixed mushrooms - all extremely tasty.

and Paalo had the Cantucci with a very spirity Vin Santo.

Heading back the apartment we spent the rest of the afternoon, packing and clearing up as we leave tomorrow.

For our last dinner, we head back here

Do excuse the photos as the room is extremely dark.

Followed by this dish to share - burrata (a mix of mozzarella and cream), stuffed pepperoni, olives and sun dried tomatoes

With our entrees we had glasses of Tabarrini Colle Grimaldesco Montefalco Sagrantino 2003

Our main was this made to order traditional Spaghetti Carbonara

With this we had glasses of Brigaldara Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2004

A perfect way to end our fantastic stay here - it will be with sadness that we leave all this city behind.
