Today we bid a sad farewell to our fellow travellers, Curtis and Leigh as they begin their journey back home.
We meet up at their hotel and trundle off to the station - and it is a more subdued station as the strike is in force. Most of the regional trains aren't running and about 15% of the medium and long range trains are also cancelled. Every so often a group of unionists bearing banners, stride through the station, chanting on their way to who knows where.
It's a bit of a nervous wait until we finally see the platform number appear for their train and all too soon the train arrives.
We've had a great time catching up and sharing the experiences of Italy.
After waving off the train we get down to the rather mundane but necessary activities - shopping at the market and doing our laundry!
