We've arranged for a car to pick us up and take us to the apartment - it cost a little more but at least you get straight there and don't have to fluff about with trying to find a legitimate taxi.
Though my email was unclear I had thought that the driver would be waiting for us at the end of the platform - he wasn't. After waiting for a few minutes and taking the opportunity to visit an ATM I phoned up the service. It appears we should be meeting him at Platform 1 something that had been left out of the email.
Not a problem, we soon found each other and we were off and shortly thereafter deposited safely at our apartment.
After settling in we strolled around the neighbourhood, we had stayed around here in our previous visit and really enjoyed it. It is a bit of kick to see the Colosseum at the end our your street.
It was also good to see that some of our favourite dining spots were still here.
For dinner we headed to a previously visited wine bar called Divin Ostilia - it's a tiny candle-lit place so the photos are not the best.
We begin with two glasses of Prosecco and some food to graze on
Bruschetta with Tomato and Basil
Bruschetta with Guanciale cooked in Red Wine
Large plate of cured meats and cheese which we enjoy with a few glasses of local Red wine.
