Located just opposite the legendary Tour D'Argent is its shop - Les Comptoirs de la Tour D'Argent.
We had originally planned to have a meal at the Tour D'Argent but eventually decided against it - but that didn't stop us from visiting it's shop.
You have to ring the bell for entry and on the day we visited it was empty - might have been because the heating was on inferno setting, that is certainly one way to make sure people don't linger.
As we glanced about we couldn't help but notice how reasonably priced everything was - though I wasn't sure what the heat was doing to all that lovely chocolate. There were so many things we could have bought - wine, oil, vinegar, tea, biscuits - but we eventually settled on something we could serve up tomorrow.
An extra bonus was the rather cute bag that held our purchase.
So what did we buy - three jars of duck and foie gras goodness.
